Dr Ling is a US fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon whose research interests are in Minimally Invasive Surgery (Keyhole Surgery), Endoscopic Surgery, and Motion Preserving Disc Replacement Surgery.
Dr Ling has completed his undergraduate medical studies at the National University of Singapore in 2006. He subsequently went on to complete his training in orthopaedic surgery and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2016.
Upon receiving the Health Manpower Development Plan award, he went on to work as a fellow at the University of Miami in 2019/2020. During his fellowship, he was trained in complex spinal deformity and advanced minimally invasive techniques such as awake endoscopic spinal fusion.
Besides clinical work, Dr Ling is also active in research and the training of his junior colleagues.
