Dr Tang Yafang is a clinician-scientist with a multidisciplinary background spanning biochemical sciences, immunology, and medicine. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemical Sciences from the National University of Singapore, followed by a PhD degree in Immunology in 2012. She subsequently graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School with Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2016. Dr. Tang completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Clinician Scientist Track in 2024 and was appointed Associate Consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 2025.
Throughout her residency, Dr. Tang demonstrated a strong commitment to academic medicine, contributing multiple publications to peer-reviewed journals and securing a Clinician Scientist Seeding Fund grant and National Clinician Research (NCRS) grant to investigate immune-endothelial interactions in endometriosis. Her research interests lie at the interface of immunological mechanisms and reproductive pathology, with a focus on endometriosis and advancing translational research in reproductive immunology. She remains dedicated to bridging bench-to-bedside science to improve women’s health and fertility outcomes.
