Dr Amitabha Lahiri is a Consultant with the Department of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery, National University Hospital (NUH). He is the Director of the Microsurgery Training Laboratory at NUH and is involved in the development of novel microsurgical simulation systems and the curricula for microsurgery. He is the co-inventor of computer-assisted microsurgical training system and holds a patent for the same.
Dr Lahiri is also involved in research on bionic neural interfaces and neuroprostheses, and has made original contributions in the field.
