Technological advances have created opportunities for the way medical education and training can be delivered. At the same time, there is growing pressure for healthcare professionals to be equipped with multidisciplinary skills and knowledge to deal with increasingly complex conditions. 

Simulation training can help healthcare professionals build confidence and develop the necessary competencies in realistic and safe environments. Technology can also augment the creation of different situations and possibilities in cases, from the reconstruction of highly complex scenarios, where physical artifacts are scarce, to ensuring consistency in training delivery. ​In his Keynote Lecture, Mr Bruce Liang will share his views on the current challenges in healthcare education and the advantages that technology has to offer.
