Project Silver Screen (PSS) provides functional screening in the community and aims to detect early decline in vision, hearing and oral health among seniors. Through the programme, seniors who require support can receive follow-up care and access to affordable assistive devices, such as spectacles, hearing aids and dentures. PSS helps seniors maintain their quality of life, supports independence, and enables ageing in place.
SingHealth will bring Level 1 functional screenings closer to the community.
Seniors can look forward to convenient screening sessions held at community spaces such as:
and other locations across the region.

Yes, you may. Level 1 screening is preventive in nature, and you may receive a referral for further assessments for any domain that is not currently being followed up at your Polyclinic/GP.
Seniors who are screened at Level 1 and determined to require further follow-up will receive a referral for Level 2 assessments. Unlike the basic checks conducted at Level 1, Level 2 assessments comprise comprehensive tests that aim to further evaluate your hearing, vision, and oral health. If you were assessed during your Level 2 assessment appointment to require specialist care, you will receive a referral to the respective Specialist Outpatient Clinic.
A SingHealth staff will contact you to arrange a Level 2 assessment appointment for you.
Our SingHealth staff will propose the locations of your Level 2 assessment based on your residential address provided to our vendors during your Level 1 screening event.
We will contact you within 3 months from your Level 1 screening date. Please note that this waiting period may be extended due to high demand. If you experience any pain or urgent symptoms, please visit your regular doctor and seek immediate medical attention.
