It offers a wide range of coordinated education pathways for healthcare professionals across the continuum – from undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate, to continuing education and faculty development.
Manager Zayar Min and his team manage the facility and lab services for undergraduate and postgraduate clinical skills training in SingHealth. The lab is one of the core simulation facilities under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS), and features training programmes such as human anatomy and hands-on cadaveric workshops, interactive live surgery sessions and microsurgery courses. Min’s somewhat unconventional career choice has sparked questions from his relatives and friends in the past. When asked what keeps his passion going in this role, Min replied confidently, “I have always been fascinated with human anatomy. When I was offered the opportunity to run an anatomy lab, I was thrilled. Being able to help train the next generation of healthcare professionals is something my team and I will always be proud of.”
