Benjamin Koh | SingHealth Experimental Medicine Centre
Being able to take on new challenges at work keeps me going every day. Through experimental research projects, I have the opportunity to play a part in improving healthcare and making a difference to patients' lives, which makes my career truly meaningful.
Dr Valerie Chew | SingHealth Translational Immunology Institute
I was inspired to join SingHealth because of the opportunity to expand my scientific career in the translational research field. Here, I get to meet and discuss research ideas with clinicians, understand more about unmet clinical needs and study how we can tackle diseases through science. The close collaboration among scientists, clinicians and clinician scientists bring fresh translational research perspectives that have benefitted me tremendously as a basic research scientist. We have robust research teams that discuss problems and find creative and innovative ways to better understand and treat diseases. It has been satisfying and fulfilling to see research outcomes translated to the bedside to benefit our patients.
