Dr Leonora Liu, Lead of SingHealth’s HealthUP! Preventive Health Movement, shared about SingHealth issuing Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits onsite to it’s Healthier SG enrolees at the Healthier Together @ North East where 400 residents turned up at the event. This makes screening more accessible and convenient for early detection and prevention, while ensuring that residents maintain long-term follow-up with their enrolled clinics.
She mentioned that residents who are enrolled with General Practitioners and other polyclinics can also bring a memo which is issued at the event to the clinics to obtain further guidance and FIT kits, if eligible.
By bringing essential preventive health services like screening, health talks, and programme enrolments directly into the community, the aim is to make health more accessible where residents live and work.
