Making a difference in your hospital visit

Managing the COVID-19 situation at the frontline is indeed an experience with its unique challenges and rewards.
As visitor services officers, we'll need to ensure that only visitors who are well and not showing any respiratory symptoms are allowed to visit. Our goal? To keep everyone safe.

With the restriction of visitation to the wards, handling visitors who are upset and worried is part of our daily encounter.
It can be stressful but it helps when we are able to explain calmly the importance of these measures to visitors. They are often cooperative when they understand why they may not be allowed to visit for the safety of their loved ones.
To me, it is a rewarding experience as I'm able to contribute to our society through my role in our fight against COVID-19.
