Over the span of 12 years, the team at GPO has been working relentlessly with the nation’s public healthcare institutions to help reduce the total cost of ownership. The office currently addresses about 60% of the total non-labour annual spend base of about $350 million for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical supplies and services. Till date, the team has accumulated cost savings of close to $240 million. This achievement is due to active engagement of user champions and internal staff through a more systematic approach to streamline and standardize products and services across the cluster. In addition, this would not be made possible without the unceasing support by the SingHealth Board, senior management and staff.
