“I go to work daily knowing that I have the ability to change someone’s life.”
I go to work daily knowing that as a nurse, I have the ability to change someone’s life. This motivates me to be as alert and focused as possible when caring for patients, so that I can quickly spot and intervene when a patient’s life may be in danger.
One of the most memorable moments for me in my nursing journey was receiving the Target Zero Harm Award for being meticulous and ensuring the correct medication is given to patients. I felt that all my efforts and diligence in looking out for patients and their safety had paid off.
