At the peak of the pandemic, a trip back to our home countries was an expensive affair for our foreign colleagues. When one of my close friends and colleague needed to return home to the Philippines urgently due to family matters, I personally accompanied her on her journey to provide her with the emotional support that she needed and to ensure that she reached her hometown safely.
While I am passionate about broadening my knowledge and honing my skills to provide the best possible care to my patients, being able to support my fellow colleagues when they require emotional support or provide a listening ear is just as important to me.
