Visiting a Patient

Visiting Hours and Policy

WEF 24 Sep 2021, please note the updates on our Visitors Policy to the wards.

To better protect our patients, from 24 September to 23 October, only registered caregivers / visitors of the following will be allowed to our wards.

  • Dangerously Ill List (DIL)
  • Patients requiring additional care support from registered caregivers

Visitors will need to show a negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test resul on HealthHub obtained within 24 hours prior to each visit. This is regardless of vaccination status. You can visit any of the MOH-approved ART Providers or the ART Centre on SGH Campus for the test.

We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience. For our patients' and your safety, please bear with these stricter measures to reduce unnecessary visitor movement in the hospital. Thank you for your patience.

While visiting the wards, we seek your co-operation for the following to reduce the risk of infection and keep our patients safe:

Bring your own mask and wear it at all times during your visit

Wash your hands with soap or use hand sanitiser before and after visitation

Maintain safe distancing of at least 2m from other patients and caregivers

Turn on your TraceTogether app or bring your TraceTogether token

Do not sit on patient's bed

Do not use patient's toilet

Do not interact with other patients and visitors

Do not eat and drink in the wards

For patients' confidentiality, please also note that photography and videography of patients and their families are not allowed.
