Profile

A/Prof Tan Su-Ming is the head of division of Breast Surgery, director of Breast Centre and Senior Consultant surgeon at Changi General Hospital (CGH), Singapore.

After graduating from the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, she was accepted as a surgical trainee. She completed her training in 1999 and was awarded the HMDP fellowship as a clinical fellow at the renowned Nottingham City Hospital and at the NHS Royal Marsden Hospital in London. After returning to Singapore in 2000, she spearheaded the Breast Centre at CGH, providing an integrated, one-stop service for patients with breast conditions.

In addition, she is a clinical associate professor at the Yong Loo Lin, School of Medicine , NUS, an adjunct associate professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, a faculty physician of the Singhealth residency programme (surgery) and a member of the Residency Advisory Committee. She holds several research grants in various aspects of breast cancer and has published widely on a variety of breast issues. She is a member of the Cancer society of Singapore and a volunteer with the Breast Cancer Foundation. She regularly gives talks on breast cancer to the public.
