​Visiting Hours and Policy



Visitor Registration
If you are entering our wards for the first time, please register at our Visitor Registration Counter (VRC). You do not need to register again for subsequent visit and can proceed directly to the gantry.


​Sengkang Community Hospital
Maximum Two (2) visitors per patient during visiting hours at one time.

Children below 12 years old are not allowed to visit in inpatient unless patient is in:

  • Palliative care,
  • Under special social circumstances
    (E.g. Patient is single-parent; OR patient is depressed due to prolonged inpatient stay etc. For Team Doctors, Nursing, MSW to assess, advise and inform Visitor Services ahead of visit.)

Outram Community Hospital
For General Wards
(Two) 2 visitors and (Two) 2 caregivers at any one time, during visiting hours.

For DIL
Maximum (Five) 5 visitors at any one time, inclusive of Caregivers.

Children below 12 years old are allowed to visit in inpatient after filling up indemnity form.

11.00am - 2.00pm
5.00pm - 8.30pm

Outram Community Hospital
12.00pm - 2.00pm
5.00pm - 8.30pm


We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience. For our patients' and your safety, please bear with these stricter measures to reduce unnecessary visitor movement in the hospital. Thank you for your patience.


While visiting the wards, we seek your co-operation for the following to reduce the risk of infection and keep our patients safe:

Bring your own mask and wear it at all times during your visit
Wash your hands with soap or use hand sanitiser before and after visitation
Do not sit on patients' beds
Do not use patients' toilets
Do not eat or drink in the wards


​For patients' confidentiality, please also note that photography and videography of patients and their families are not allowed. We are also unable to disclose patient’s information. Visitors are encouraged to contact the patient’s next of kin / family members for patient’s details / location.

  

Use of Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs) at Sengkang Community Hospital

PMA/PMD use in the clinics, wards and Emergency Department on SKH Campus will be restricted starting 2 January 2025. This change is part of SKH Campus's ongoing efforts to create a safer environment for everyone on the hospital premises. This policy will apply to all patients, visitors, caregivers and next-of-kin. 

If you are being admitted, you are advised to arrange for your PMAs to be taken home. Alternatively, PMAs may be parked at designated parking bays on the SKH Campus. If you need assisance moving around during your stay or visit, we are happy to provide wheelchair assistance. Please approach our Visitor Service Officers or any hospital staff for assistance. Thank you for your cooperation in making SKH Campus a safe environment for everyone. 

Starting 2 January 2025: 

  • Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs) such as mobility scooters, will not be allowed in clinics, wards and the Emergency Department on SKH Campus.
  • Only wheelchairs, including motorised ones, will be permitted. 
  • Parking bays on SKH Campus will be conveniently located at: 
- Community Hospital --> In front of Blk 7 and Blk 9 registration counter
- Emergency Department --> ED main walk-in entrance
- Blk 3 and Blk 6 -->Behind Lift Lobby B
- Blk 1 and Blk 2 --> Behind Polar shop
- Medical Centre --> Main Drop-off/Pick-up point
- Surgery on 2 -- Lift Lobby B (Level 2)
- Endoscopy Centre --> Outside Endoscopy Centre (Level 2)

If you need assistance finding these parking bays, please approach any hospital or visitor registration staff.
