8th Septorhinoplasty Course and Facial Reconstruction Symposium

6 - 7 August 2018 (Monday – Tuesday)

 Introduction

This running instructional course returns with a highly-regarded team of local and international faculty, focused on Septorhinoplasty, with a sub-focus on facial reconstructive surgery. We have dedicated a section of our course this year to include the approach to facial defects, functional reconstruction using locoregional and microsurgical techniques, and scar management. This 2-day program includes a collection of lectures with daily hands-on dissection on high-quality cadavers at our state-of-the-art dissection lab.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to

1. Perform a comprehensive evaluation of functional and aesthetic nasal pathology

2. Formulate a surgical plan to treat external and internal nasal valve obstruction

3. Understand the principles behind surgical manoeuvres performed in septorhinoplasty

4. Perform an algorithmic analysis of a facial cutaneous defect, and consider the options for reconstruction based on the aesthetic unit and subunit principle

5. Understand the spectrum of local, regional, and microsurgical surgical techniques available for functional facial reconstruction

6. Evaluate facial scarring and develop a treatment plan based on a comprehensive understanding of treatment available

Target Audience

This course is designed for ENT, Plastic, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial surgeons/residents, and Aesthetic Physicians keen to expand their knowledge and surgical skill sets in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
