Profile

A few years after graduating from NUS, Dr Yee Ruixiang was awarded the MOH scholarship to pursue Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College London. In UK, he passed both his MSc in Paediatric Dentistry and Graduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Dental Practice with Distinctions. He subsequently passed the UK Diploma of Membership in Paediatric Dentistry (M Paed Dent) and Singapore Dental Specialist Board Accreditation examinations; he is now a dental member of the Royal College of Surgeon (RCS England) and a Fellow to the Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS).

As a Consultant Paediatric Dentist with KK Dental Service and Cleft & Craniofacial Dentistry Unit, Dr Yee provides preventive and therapeutic dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. This includes working closely with the medical team to manage children with medical conditions, special needs, child abuse, and dental trauma.

He is active in research and passionate in teaching medical and dental colleagues. He is a clinical teacher at Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. He is also invited regularly to teach oral health to SingHealth Paediatric Medicine residents.

Outside of KKH, he volunteers as the Vice President of Society for Paediatric Dentistry Singapore and was the board member of the Singapore Dental Health Foundation.
