Dr Tan Shi Ming is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery with the Singapore General Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore and was selected for further specialist training in the competitive specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2012. He received the MOH Training Award in the same year. He went on to complete his specialty training and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018.

Dr Tan is a strong patient advocate who believes in the holistic care of the patient. He has received compliments from patients and the Singhealth Service with a Heart Award for excellent patient care. 

Beyond his clinical duties, Dr Tan takes on a keen interest in clinical research and has published widely in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is also an active participant in international medical conferences with a special interest in the sub-specialty fields of foot and ankle, lower limb arthroplasty and orthopaedic trauma.
