Profile

Dr Tan Pih Lin is a dedicated neonatologist, working to ensure good outcomes in all newborns. She is the clinical lead in the Universal Newborn Hearing Screen at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and follows up on patients found to have abnormal results. She runs reviews in clinic for these patients addressing their overall developmental issues to produce good verbal outcomes. In addition to this she also reviews the most vulnerable graduates from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Very Low Birth Weight Infants. This is a multidisciplinary follow up programme at KKH designed specifically to review these infants for their neurodevelopment and medical concerns.

Dr Tan is also invested in teaching and is appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at DUKE-NUS Medical School, Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She is also an instructor of the Neonatal Resuscitation Programme run at KKH. She is clinical tutor in the Paediatric ACGMEi mentoring and teaching future paediatricians.
