Profile

Dr Simon Ong completed his MBBS training at the National University of Singapore in 1990. After completing a year of housemanship, 2 years of National Service and a year of rotation to Psychiatry and Neonatology, he enrolled into the SGH Internal Medicine Traineeship Program in 1994. Over the next 3 years, he completed Basic Specialty Training by rotating through all the internal medicine specialties in SGH and passing his membership examinations (MMed & MRCP) in 1997. Following which he was accepted into Advanced Specialty Training in Medical Oncology. He successfully exited in 2000 and did his fellowship in cancer pharmacology at the Sydney Cancer Center, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital from 2000 to 2012.
