Profile

Dr Jeannie Ong is a senior consultant with the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). She obtained her medical degree in the United Kingdom (UK), achieved MRCP (UK) there, as well as dual specialist accreditation in gastroenterology and general internal medicine.

Dr Ong has a subspecialist interest in inflammatory bowel disease and nutrition. She has published in various journals including a recent leading article on nutritional support in acute pancreatitis in Journal of Digestive Diseases. She also has authored various publications and given presentations on inflammatory bowel disease and nutrition.

Currently, she’s a member of the National Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme Steering Committee. Dr Ong is the chairperson of Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and is director for the Nutrition Service at CGH. She also is a core faculty of SingHealth Internal Medicine and PGY1 residency programme and an active educator.
