Profile

Dr King is a senior consultant endocrinologist at Changi General Hospital (CGH) and a visiting consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He graduated with honours from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2003, and completed specialist training in both endocrinology and general internal medicine in Ireland in 2013.

He spent two years conducting laboratory research, investigating the link between birth weight and cardiovascular disease, and was conferred with a Medical Doctorate (MD) for his thesis in 2012. His other areas of interest include PCOS, disorders of sex development, hypogonadism, infertility, gender and osteoporosis. He has presented his work at international conferences, has published many peer-reviewed articles, and is a reviewer for several medical journals.

Dr King undertook a fellowship in reproductive medicine at the Institute for Women’s Health, University College London in 2014, and then worked as a consultant in the department of endocrinology, University College Hospital before joining Changi General Hospital in 2016.

He is actively involved in education and has held tutor and lecturer posts with RCSI and University College Dublin. He is currently a clinical senior lecturer at NUS, and a clinical core faculty member, SingHealth endocrinology residency programme.
