Dr Chew Li-Ching is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School, United Kingdom. She completed her Rheumatology training at the renowned Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Bath, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, respectively. She subsequently pursued advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, under the Singapore Ministry of Health Fellowship award; and set up the Rheumatology ultrasonography service, serving as the director of the musculoskeletal ultrasound programme. 

She is the current chairperson of the Targeted Ultrasound Initiative (TUI) interest group in Singapore, and is actively involved in ultrasound research, education and training. She is part of the regular teaching faculty and invited speaker to several local and regional conferences in Rheumatology imaging. As part of an initiative towards improving chronic disease management for rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis patients, she is key in setting up the Rheumatology Monitoring Clinic, which subsequently extended to the Virtual Monitoring Clinic. 

She also sits on various national level scientific committees such as the Singapore Society of Rheumatology (SSR) ExCo, T2T Biologics Task Force, organising committee of ultrasound courses and SGH Quality Conventions, and past scientific chair of the SSR workshop. Her main research interests are in musculoskeletal imaging and inflammatory arthritis.
