Profile
Dr Andrew Chou is a surgeon, innovator, and educator who believes that innovation is the key to addressing complex healthcare problems and improving care for patients at scale. He enjoys working with children and chose to subspecialize in paediatric orthopaedics, where his interests include hip preservation, lower limb reconstruction, and sports medicine.
He received his B.S. in biochemical engineering from Stanford University, his M.D. from the Duke-NUS Medical School, his M.Med. in Orthopaedic Surgery from the National University of Singapore, and his fellowship in trauma & orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2018, he was one of four nationally selected Singapore-Stanford Biodesign fellows and spent the year in Silicon Valley, ASEAN, and Asia-Pacific immersed in health technology innovation and medical device development.
An award-winning researcher with expertise in topics ranging from sports medicine, children’s orthopaedics, and surgical simulation, Andrew has published over 30 articles and book chapters and presented his research at meetings for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, and the World Congress of Osteoporosis.
