Creating a lasting impact through named funds

Named funds that are established at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) support a broad range of causes – from specific areas of research such as in infectious diseases to inter-professional education or faculty development and patient care. They can also be designated to support areas of greatest needs in the AMC including seed funding for budding research programmes and continuing education for healthcare professionals.

Different types of named funds include Professorships, Fellowships, Research Funds and Faculty Development Funds. Usually, a named fund is established following the receipt of a gift that is made in honour of one or more persons, to create a lasting tribute to a loved one, someone held in high esteem or an institution.

Named funds are always ring-fenced to create impact in the specific causes for which they are intended. They catalyse medical and healthcare innovations, fuel scientific breakthroughs and uncover new solutions to clinical challenges. Gifts made towards named funds can be expendable, endowed or both, depending on your gift quantum.

We are happy to work with you to choose an area for support that ensures your gift is aligned to your philanthropic goals. For more information on creating a named fund, please contact giving@singhealth.com.sg.
