BVH volunteers surpass flag day target

BVH volunteers help surpass flag day target with $120,000 raised

They may not be rescuing the passengers in a derailed train, nor were they saving the world from an evil villain.

But equipped with passion to help the less privileged, they were more than just your friendly neighbourhood superheroes. These cosplayers from Pause For A Cause (PFAC), were part of the volunteer army that participated in Bright Vision Hospital's Flag Day on 10 March 2018.

Dressed as various kinds of Spiderman and as Thor, these enthusiastic cosplayers visited the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus alongside BVH volunteers seeking donations. More than 300 volunteers, consisting of adults and students also signed up as our bag bearers.

It was a heart-warming scene as members of the public donated and took pictures with the cosplayers. With their undeniable humour, they harnessed positivity from the crowds in order to raise funds for our needy patients.

Members of the public also took part in a terrarium-building workshop organised by Love In A Bottle at the Academia on SGH Campus. The workshop allowed them to express their creativity in a fun, eco-friendly way while contributing for a good cause.

With the help of our volunteers, we raised more than $120,000 for our needy patients. You don't need super powers to be part of this team, and we thank everyone for all their wonderful contributions.
