Dr Chen Haobin is a Consultant with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital. An Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon by training, he has experience in managing a wide spectrum of spine conditions, including spine trauma and injury, various degenerative spine diseases including those with spinal cord and spinal nerve compression, spinal deformity, spinal infections as well as metastatic tumour involvement of the spine. His surgical expertise includes both conventional as well as minimally invasive spine surgery, encompassing both posterior as well as anterior approaches to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He is also trained in less invasive spinal procedures including fluoroscopic-guided nerve root blocks and caudal epidural injections, tailoring treatment plans specifically to each patient's condition.
Other than Spine Surgery, Dr Chen is also experienced in managing various Orthopaedic conditions including trauma to the limbs and joints as well as degenerative joint conditions.
Outside clinical work, Dr Chen takes a keen interest in medical education. He is actively involved in the training of Orthopaedic Residents as a member of the SingHealth clinician faculty, and in the training of aspiring doctors as an appointed faculty member in the medical schools of Singapore.
