Associate Professor Low Lian Leng serves as Senior Consultant at Singapore General Hospital's Department of Family Medicine and Continuing Care. He is also the Chairman, Division of Population Health and Integrated Care in SGH, and Director, SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation. He also holds faculty positions at both Duke-NUS Medical School and Singapore University of Social Sciences.
With expertise in health services research, A/Prof Low focuses on population health, innovative integrated care models, value-based care and data analytics. As Director of the SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation, he leads crucial initiatives including theme and core leadership roles in the SingHealth Regional Health System Population Health centre grant.
A/Prof Low also spearheads the Community Ageing in Place Ecosystem project, funded by the Ministry of Health. This innovative initiative integrates physical built environment, technology, and health-social care integration to enhance ageing well in Singapore. His commitment to nurturing future healthcare leaders is evident in his supervision of PhD students, data analysts and research fellows, alongside mentoring Duke-NUS medical students and family medicine residents and fellows for their research projects.
A/Prof Low's significant research contributions include securing nearly $16 million in competitive funding as Principal or Co-Principal Investigator. His academic portfolio comprises over 80 original articles, 34 review articles, and 10 letters to editor/editorials, achieving an h-index of 31 as of June 2024. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, A/Prof Low was honoured with the HPSR Clinician Scientist Award (HCSA) in 2022.
