Mr Tay Choon Hong
Chief Executive Officer, Health Promotion Board

Mr Tay Choon Hong serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Health Promotion Board (HPB), where he leads the organisation's mission to empower Singaporeans to take charge of their health. Under his leadership, HPB collaborates extensively with People, Private and Public sector partners to cultivate an ecosystem that facilitates healthy living and lifestyle choices for all Singaporeans.

Before assuming his current role, Mr Tay held the position of Senior Director (Youth) at the Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth, whilst concurrently serving as Deputy Chief Executive of the National Youth Council. In these capacities, he spearheaded the review and enhancement of youth development initiatives, focusing on nurturing future-ready and nationally committed young citizens. At the Public Service Division, he led the Public Sector Transformation movement, strengthening public service capabilities across innovation, collaboration, service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

His distinguished public service career includes appointments at the National Population and Talent Division, Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mr Tay holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by a Master of Science in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
