Frailty screening assesses the balance, flexibility, power and cardio-respiratory endurance among those aged 55 and above through physical tests. Questionnaires also evaluate their daily living activities, psycho-social risks and nutritional status.
Seniors found to be pre-frail will go through a four-month programme conducted by physiotherapists and dietitians from Sengkang General Hospital. Through 16 sessions of group exercise and 6 nutrition classes, the programme aims to help these seniors improve their physical activity and nutrition levels.
