Dr Victoria Wong is a consultant in the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore where she majored in Psychology and Statistics.
Dr Wong obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2006 and returned to Singapore in 2008 where she continued her medical career in Singapore General Hospital. Dr Wong completed her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2015 and Master of Medicine in Family Medicine in 2016. She obtained her specialist accreditation in Palliative Medicine in 2020.
Dr Wong is the lead in Value-Driven Care and co-lead in the Palliative Care Outcome Collaboration (PCOC) workgroups for SingHealth-Duke-NUS Supportive and Palliative Care Centre. In the Adolescents and Young Adults Oncology (AYAO) Program, she is the lead in supportive and palliative care. She is an active faculty member in the Family Medicine (FM) College Program and is one of the teaching faculty members in the FM Foundation. In addition, she is an advisor to SingHealth Polyclinic’s Community and ACP (including palliative) clinical workgroup.
She was recently awarded the FY23 HMDP Team based award to the United Kingdom to study the integrated ecosystems of proactive care and community engagement in palliative care.
Dr Wong’s areas of interest are primary palliative care, integration of palliative care into the community, healthcare quality and safety, value-drive care and supporting the promotion of awareness of challenges in the adolescents and young adults with life limiting illnesses.
