Dr Teo Hock Hai is Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing at National University of Singapore. He also chairs the Health Informatics Lab in the School of Computing. His research programme leverages technological advancements in AI and IOT to facilitate and enable the effective and efficient delivery of safe, quality healthcare service. Through researched solutions on the implementation, use, and impact of health information systems, he seeks to improve the quality of life of patients by enabling their independence and self-reliance, facilitating personalised healthcare delivery, slowing down the health decline of chronic patients through better compliance with treatment programmes, and improving the physiological and cognitive well-being of the general population.
