After she graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2003 and attaining her Master of Medicine (MMed) in Anaesthesiology in 2009, Dr Tracy Tan joined the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia in KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). Under the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) from 2012 to 2013, she completed a year of general paediatric anaesthesia fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto with a special focus in cardiac anaesthesia and cardiac transplant. Her other interests include paediatric difficult airway management, regional anaesthesia and procedural sedation.
Dr Tracy Tan is a consultant anaesthetist, a department lead in the hospital sedation committee and the organizing chairman of the annual Paediatric Airway and Ventilation Workshop (PAWS). She is also currently the department lead for the sub-speciality of cardiac anaesthesia.
