​Dr Tey Tze Tong received his degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He then went on to obtain his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore. Dr Tey completed his senior residency training and is a Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) certified specialist in Gastroenterology.

His subspecialty interest is in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. He completed the 18th IBD Advanced Course by the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation which was held in Vienna, Austria.

He is interested in teaching and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
