Profile

Dr Tewani has always been interested in holistic medicine and done her Basic Specialist Training (BST) in Family Medicine from National University of Singapore in 2009. Thereafter she pursued her Advance Specialist Training (AST) in Palliative Medicine which she completed in Jan 2014. She has done a Fellowship in Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool, United Kingdom, , where she was attached to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Marie Curie Hospice. During this time, she was part of the Palliative team which saw adult patients with palliative issues. She was also attached to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where she was part of the specialist Palliative team looking after the Palliative needs of children, this has given her exposure in both adult and paediatric palliative care.

In KKH, Dr Tewani helps provide palliative care to women diagnosed with a gynaecological malignancy and has helped initiated the Perinatal Palliative Service since Jan 2017.
