Profile

Dr Roy Debajyoti Malakar is an alumnus of the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He subsequently trained in renal medicine at the Queen Elizabeth hospital, Adelaide. He is a nephrologist trained in the various aspects of nephrology including haemodialysis, glomerulonephritis, peritoneal dialysis and transplantation.

Dr Roy is a senior clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also the associate programme director for the SingHealth Renal Medicine Residency Programme.

He has won several awards in the course of his work, including the Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Faculty Award as well as the Caring Gold Award for outstanding service.
