Profile

Dr Phua is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital, which is the national tertiary and quaternary referral centre in Singapore. The department provides comprehensive and state-of-the-art clinical care to patients with complex pulmonary and critical-care conditions.

He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1997, and completed his postgraduate training at the Singapore General Hospital and Duke University Medical Centre in USA. His key interests are in Intensive Care Medicine, Advanced Lung Disease, Lung Transplantation, Pulmonary Hypertension and Medical Education. He serves in a number of hospital and national committees leading the field of Respiratory Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine and Medical Education.
