​Dr Lim Yean Chin is a senior consultant with the Department of Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care at Changi General Hospital (CGH). Her interest is in the use of ultrasound for regional anaesthesia and other peri-operative applications. Dr Lim was a recipient of the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy and Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound. She is the chairperson of the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists, Regional Anaesthesia Special Interest Group (RA SIG) and has also organised and been on faculty for multiple ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia workshops locally and internationally.

Dr Lim is a physician faculty of the Singhealth Anaesthesia Residency Program and a clinical lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). She is actively involved in research and is part of the hospital's research committee.
