Dr Lee Wai Peng is a consultant general surgeon, with a special interest in breast surgery. She manages both benign and malignant breast conditions.

Dr Lee graduated from National University of Singapore in 2007 and was granted Masters of Medicine (Surgery) by the same university in 2014. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014, after completing her advanced specialist training in general surgery. She has done observerships at hospitals in the United Kingdom (Royal Derby Hospital as well as Royal Marsden Hospital), to further her skills in managing patients with breast cancers and to keep abreast of the latest advancement in surgical techniques for partial and full breast reconstruction.

Dr Lee is also keen in educating and sharing her knowledge with the next generation of medical students as well as the postgraduate SingHealth surgical residency program. She has been appointed the clinical lecturer for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine since 2008 and has been recently appointed as adjunct assistant professor for the Lee Kong Chien School of Medicine in 2017.

Dr Lee is an advocate for medical work in developing countries and has previously participated in the pink ribbon programme in Bali for 2 consecutive years to increase awareness of breast cancer. Her dedication towards her patients has earned her a silver award in the Singapore Health Quality Service Award 2018.
