Profile

Dr Kam Kai-Qian completed her undergraduate medical studies at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She entered the SingHealth Paediatric Medicine Residency Program in 2013 and obtained the degrees MRCPCH and Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine) in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, she served as the Chief Resident for the Paediatric Medicine residency program. Upon completion of the residency program, she joined the Paediatric Infectious Disease service in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). Her research and clinical interests includes COVID-19, infections in young infants, vaccinations, antimicrobial stewardship and infections in the immunocompromised patients. She is appointed a member of the Hospital Infection Control Committee, National Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee and National Antimicrobial Stewardship Expert Panel. Since December 2020, Dr Kam is appointed as the lead for KKH COVID-19 Vaccination team and had set up the KKH Vaccination Centre to facilitate COVID-19 vaccinations for patients and KKH staff. Dr Kam is also actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, and holds appointments in the 3 medical schools. She is appointed as the Executive Committee Member of the Junior Doctors Well-Being Committee which serves to provide psychological support and mentorship for the junior doctors rotating to KKH.
