Profile

Dr Joan Khoo is a senior consultant and current chief of the Department of Endocrinology in Changi General Hospital (CGH). She received her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2000 and completed endocrinology specialist training in CGH.

After post-specialist fellowship training in the endocrinology of obesity and appetite regulation at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, she has been involved in multidisciplinary management of obese patients in CGH, and is a co-director of the Eastern Community Health Outreach (ECHO) community-based chronic disease prevention program.

Her clinical and research interests include diabetes, obesity and weight management.
