Profile

Clinical A/Prof Joan Khoo graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed her specialty training in Endocrinology in Changi General Hospital (CGH). After post-specialist fellowship training in the endocrinology of obesity and appetite regulation at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, she has been involved in the multidisciplinary management of obese patients in CGH and the community in the eastern part of Singapore in the ECHO (Eastern Community Health Outreach) program. She is currently the Chief & Senior Consultant of the Endocrinology Department at Changi General Hospital and was formerly the Director of the Diabetes Centre.

Her clinical and research interests include diabetes, obesity and weight management. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Singapore (Chapter of Endocrinologists) and of the Royal College of Physicians (UK Edinburgh).
