Profile

Dr Gale Lim Jue Shuang is currently the Head and Senior Consultant for the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH).

Her passion for Paediatric Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and paediatric burns management landed her a fellowship in the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada from 2012 – 2013.

Dr Lim participated actively in providing education, having volunteered to give lectures and facilitate courses. She assisted in the production of the instructional video for the microsurgical courses. Dr Lim also contributed to an article on Paediatric Burns in a local parenting magazine, “Today’s Parents” in the April/May 2014 issue and wrote another article, “Ouch It’s Hot!” on paediatric burn injury in the May – June 2014 issue of “Special Delivery”, an internal KKH publication.

In January 2018, Dr Gale Lim spearheaded the production of an awareness video on the prevention of Paediatric Burn Injury collaboration with Great Eastern Life. This video aims to raise awareness for parents and caregivers on the prevention of a burn injury at home and was shared on social media and has since been translated to 4 different languages, i.e. Bahasa Indonesia, Myanmese, Tamil and Chinese for distribution to the different group of domestic helpers that Singapore has.
