Profile
Dr Darryl Lim is a Senior Cconsultant with the Department of Surgery, and director of the vascular and endovascular surgery unit at Changi General Hospital. His interests include advanced techniques in complex endovascular revascularisation for arterial occlusive disease, diabetic foot wound care, as well as new techniques in vascular access interventions.
Dr Lim received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) (MBBS), and subsequently embarked on his surgical training with the SingHealth General Surgery residency program. During this time, he obtained multiple qualifications, namely Membership and subsequently Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh as well as the Masters of Medicine in Surgery (Singapore) . He became a specialist in 2015, and received training in both open and endovascular surgery at Changi General Hospital. Dr Lim further honed his skills in complex endovascular interventions at the Department of Angiologie, Universitätsklinikum Leipzig, with Dr Andrej Schmidt. He also completed examinations in wound management by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM), and is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP). He is a fellow with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore.
Dr Lim is a key opinion leader in his field and is regularly invited to speak at endovascular conferences both locally and internationally. In addition, he also provides proctorship and conducts endovascular live case workshops for interventionists around the region.
