Profile

Dr. S.Chandramohan is a Senior Interventional Radiologist at the Department of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

He graduated from Madras Medical College, India and pursued further training UK. He completed basic surgical training in Mersey Deanery, UK and obtained MRCS. Subsequently, radiology and interventional radiology training in Dundee, Scotland, UK.

He was appointed as Consultant in Interventional radiology in Glasgow teaching hospitals. 
During this period, I was appointed as an Honorary Senior lecturer at University of Glasgow and as an Associate Editor of ‘Clinical Radiology’ journal which is an official journal of Royal college of Radiologists. 

After 8 years of consultant service in UK, he joined SingHealth as a Senior Consultant in Interventional Radiology on 12/01/16. 

He regularly performs a wide range of endovascular, gastrointestinal and interventional oncology procedures. His interests are in diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial disease and aortic aneurysms, management of dysfunctional dialysis access, targeted therapies for hepatic, lung and renal tumors. He works at KK hospital and performs range of interventions on women and children, which include fibroid embolisation, fallopian tube recanalisation, biopsies and drainages.

  • ​Special interest in Prostate artery embolisation. Completed a trial on pre-operative embolisation of large prostate glands and On going trial on prostate embolisation for patients on anticoagulants.
