Profile

​Dr Alvin Tan is a Consultant in the Department of General Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital. He graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and subsequently did his general surgery training under the SingHealth General Surgery Residency Programme. After which, he continued his sub-specialty training at the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Transplant Surgery at Singapore General Hospital.

 

Dr Tan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). His professional area of interest is in minimally invasive hepatopancreatic surgery, as well as clinical education. His dedication in teaching has won him the Outstanding Faculty Award at the SingHealth RiSE Awards Ceremony 2018.
