Mr Andrew Butler is currently the surgical lead for Intestinal Transplantation at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, UK. He joined the team in 2008 and has been involved in all of the 160 intestinal transplants undertaken at Cambridge since then. He is currently chair of the multivisceral and composite tissue advisory group, a part of NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT).
His main areas of professional interest are liver and intestinal transplant and also the development and implementation of machine perfusion for organ preservation.
