If you are taking riociguat, you should avoid certain medications. Some examples are: nitrates (e.g. glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate), phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (e.g. sildenafil, vardenafil, tadalafil), non-specific phosphodiesterase inhibitors (e.g. theophylline, dipyridamole).
