Dr Ng Shin Yi is a Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Intensivist at the Department of Anaesthesiology, Singapore General Hospital and Co-Director of Intensive Care Medicine at Sengkang General Hospital. He is also concurrently appointed as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore.
After completing his specialist training in Anaesthesiology in Singapore, he underwent a two-year critical care fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA, under the Ministry of Health Training Scholarship.
Dr Ng is currently core faculty for SingHealth Anaesthesiology Residency Program. He is also involved in the Examinations Committee for the Subspecialty Training Committee (Intensive Care Medicine). For Duke-NUS Medical School, he is the clerkship coordinator for Critical Care Medicine.
He has special interests in point-of-care critical care ultrasound as well as haemodynamic monitoring. For research, he has published on airway management and outcomes after critical illness.
