Overview

SingHealth Duke-NUS Memory and Cognitive Disorder Centre Meeting 2022

Living Well with Dementia

Dementia is a relentlessly progressive disease with no cure that affects 10% of our seniors in Singapore but also takes a toll on medical professionals caring for patients. Caregivers for persons living with dementia (PLWD) risk burn out particularly in managing the behavioural symptoms of PLWD. Our event aims to equip medical professionals with an understanding of the approaches involved in dealing with the behavioural symptoms of dementia through didactic and experiential learning, and also share the available resources and communication techniques to manage daily challenges faced by PLWD, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
