Despite great investments, there is currently no effective drug-based treatment available for Alzheimer’s disease. To boost efforts in identifying gene targets for such drug development, scientists led by Duke-NUS Medical School, in collaboration with Monash University, have published a comprehensive online atlas of gene expressions at single-cell level in Alzheimer’s disease brains.

  Advancing Care for Paediatric Brain Tumours

Despite progress in the field, there is still much work to be done to improve cure rates and minimise treatment-related side effects wherever possible. Pilot Support Programme Launched for Breast Cancer Survivors

A $2.1 million pilot programme for breast cancer survivors is expected to benefit about 4,000 patients. Run under the Temasek Foundation Access programme, a partnership between Temasek Foundation and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), the support scheme complements conventional medical treatment with emotional and social support in post-treatment care, for improved quality of life.
